Intricately carved cornelian shell cameo circa 1900 - 1910, with a lovely lady wearing an off the shoulder gown and flowers at her neck.

The fine detail of this cameo is amazing, with a three dimensional carving in her hair and the flowers at her temple and on her gown. Her facial features are well done, showing rounded cheeks, a well defined nose and chin. Even the drop earrings she wears are done to perfection.

The white gold filigree frame measures 11/4" x 7/8". It is semi-rectangular with tiny roses at the corners. It is marked 14K on the clasp. There is also a retractable bail, so this lovely piece can also be worn as a pendant.
