This is a very striking guilloche enamel brooch. The central motif has a shield representing the provinces of Canada topped with a crown. The outer border of the brooch is an iridescent teal blue with gold tone accents.

This brooch represents the coat of arms of Canada as it was prior to 1921. The style of the brooch and the c-clasp indicate it was probably made in the early 1900's.

The guilloche is in exceptionally good condition, with only one small nick to the finish (lower left, about halfway between shield and edge).
