This vintage brooch really is something special. It is 1 5/8" x 1 1/4", bezel set with a spiral twisted gold-tone edging. The unusual trombone style clasp dates it from the 1920's - 1930's. It is almost certainly European, and other other similar pieces I have seen were made in Switzerland.

The clear turquoise blue is striking, and the inner portion has a hand painted bird, roses and wildflowers, outlined in a silvery feather pattern.

Condition is excellent.
