Julia Child's "Mastering the Art of French Cooking", volumes one and two. These classics are hard to find, especially in great condition, as these are. The covers do show very mild wear, but it appears the previous owner was not much of a cook - there are no marks, no dog-eared pages, no food stains - they look as if they have not been used at all. Those of us who do cook will attest that there is much to be learned from Julia Child. She doesn't just give you the recipe, she tells you everything you need to know. These classics belong in every good cook or aspiring cook's collection.
