Old and Unusual Hand Blown Glass Whiskey Flask

This old flask was found on a farm in Southern Illinois. It it hand blown green ribbed glass, irregular in shape, and approximately 7" x 5" x 1 1/2". The bottle was not dug up, but found among some old odds and ends, so we presume it was found some time in the early 1900's and put aside.

The flask or bottle dates from before the Civil War, probably about 1840. There is a sticker residue at the neck - not enough to identify, and a sticker at the bottom, which is far more recent.

The damage is obvious - a crack running through the body on one side. The price is adjusted accordingly. This is a real treasure and curiosity even if not perfect - a great addition to someone's collection.
