Pair Black Victorian Art Glass Vases with Hand-painted Roses

This pair of medallion shaped hand-blown vases features a fine hand-painted enamel floral scene. The roses are highlighted by a hovering insect. Victorian Art Glass pieces are little works of art. The glass here is highlighted by motifs from the natural world. Flowers, leaves and insects were favored subjects for art of all types.

The paint on the vases is in excellent condition. One vase has a ½ mm rim chip on the right side. The vase with the chip has had professional restoration to the base that cannot be seen.

The vases stand 10 inches tall and 6 inches wide with a 4 inch base.
