WOW! I have never seen a more spectacular pair of lamps! These are very tall hand-blown Bristol glass kerosene go-to-bed lamps. They are hand-decorated with enamel paint in a beautiful scene of birds, flowers and berries. The shades are mold-blown. Go-to-bed lamps separate so that you can carry a light to bed, but leave the vase on the mantel. Wouldn’t want to ruin the décor!

The lamps have been electrified, but could easily be re-converted.

Condition: Excellent. Height: 27 inches. Diameter at the base: 6 7/8 inches.

Sold as a pair only.

Please look for my BRISTOL GLASS as featured in COUNTRY LIVING, March, 2007.

Victorian Art Glass pieces are little works of art. The glass here is highlighted by motifs from the natural world. Flowers, leaves and insects were favored subjects for art of all types. Many of these pieces are BRISTOL GLASS. An elderly antiques dealer once defined Bristol as having an orange fire when held to the light. Today, many types of hand-blown Victorian glass is categorized as Bristol. All of these pieces are hand-blown and hand-painted.

Each lamp is comprised of four fragile pieces that will have to be double boxed. If you would like an estimate of shipping cost, please contact me.
