In 1992, the Galleries Division of Hallmark Cards introduced the Kiddie Car Classics. They began to issue several series of authentic die-cast miniature replicas of pedal cars originally produced by Murray®. These are the full sized Kiddie Cars, not the ornaments, which came later.

This Kiddie Car is the 1937 Murray Steelcraft Airflow - Luxury Edition, number 1,175 of a limited edition of 24,500. It was issued in 1995 and retired in 1998. It has only been removed from the box to be photographed. I had never taken it out of the packaging prior to this - all of my Kiddie Cars are in new condition - purchased when they were first issued, and then put away for future grandchildren, but it doesn't look like that will happen, so it's time for them to find new homes.

The Luxury Edition category limits the number made to 24,500 and offers more elaborate designs and custom features. This Steelcraft Airflow is the second Luxury Edition vehicle to be offered. It is stock number QHG9024. This is a beautiful car - it's a dark maroon color with a brown hue - shiny and brand new.

This is NOT an ornament, but a nice, heavy die-cast metal vehicle. Dimensions are: 4" H x 7" L x 2¼" W. Special features: French bulb horn, hood ornament, nickel-plated detailing and working headlights. (Note: Two #386 batteries came with the car but they look a little fuzzy and I don't think they will work. They can be replaced and when inserted and turned on, they light the headlights, or you can not use batteries at all - it would be up to you.)

It will come to you in the box with original packaging, COA certificate of authenticity, and collector's card. The car is in perfect condition - MIB. A great addition to a collection, or a wonderful way to start one! Of course, a super gift, too!
