In 1992, the Galleries Division of Hallmark Cards introduced the Kiddie Car Classics. The first series consisted of 5 authentic die-cast miniature replicas of pedal cars originally produced by Murray®. These debuted in October of 1992, and were retired in late 1993. The first five Kiddie Cars were only produced in a limited edition of 14,500 each - and quickly sold out! These are the full sized Kiddie Cars, not the ornaments, which came later.

This 1941 Murray Airplane is from the first series - very hard to find - and is #6238 of a limited edition of 14,500. It is the silver colored "Pursuit" plane. It has only been removed from the box to be photographed. I had never taken it out of the packaging prior to this - all of my Kiddie Cars are in new condition - purchased when they were first issued, and then put away for future grandchildren, but that hasn't happened, so it's time to let someone else enjoy these!

The plane is 4¼" H x 7¼" L x 6" W. Special features include the propeller spins when the wheels turn, and the steering wheel controls & turns the rear wheel rudder. It is stock number QHG9003. This is NOT an ornament, but a nice, heavy die-cast metal airplane.

It will come to you in the box with original packaging and certificate (the first group did not include a collector's card). A great addition to a collection, or a wonderful way to start one! Of course, a super gift, too!
