This beautiful vase by Fenton Art Glass Company is from the Museum Collection, which honored historical pieces that had been featured and displayed in the Fenton Museum in Williamstown, West Virginia. It is Blue Burmese Satin, with a smooth, silky finish, accented by the color variation in the glass. The shading from the bluish-pink glass to the dark pink is the hallmark of Blue Burmese.

It has a gorgeous, hand-painted floral decoration, done in pink, purple and green, which wraps around to the "back" of the vase. The artist, Stacy Williams, signed this piece and it also has the Museum Collection Certificate, and the silver Fenton sticker. The Certificate has the facsimile signature of the late W.C. "Bill" Fenton, Chairman of the Board.

This is a large and striking piece - it is 8½" tall and over 6" across at the widest. The mould is the classic pinch style, and the rim as the lovely six-point crimp. The coloration is gorgeous - if you like a dark blush on your Burmese pieces, this is a beauty!
