This sweet figurine was produced by Lladró, well known maker of fine porcelain items from Spain. This is "Friday's Child" and is part of the Days of the Week girl set. She is kneeling down to show the kittens to another cat. This is item number 01006020, issued in 1992 and retired in 1997. It was sculpted by Juan Huerta. Royal Doulton is one of the best known names for fine bone china from England. This is a pretty set of three pieces - cup, saucer and dessert plate. All pieces are in excellent condition and would be lovely to use, or to display. The dessert plate (or salad plate) is 8¼" in diameter. The name of this pattern is Clovelly - it has beautiful flowers on it and scalloped edges.
