Here is a lovely Ewer in the Wild Rose pattern, made by Weller Pottery. It is 6 3/4" tall and measures 5 1/2" across at the widest point. It is gorgeous in matte shades of peach and green, with a darker peachy pink flower. This hard to find squatty ewer is in wonderful condition with no chips, cracks, nicks, etc. There is little, if any, crazing. There are a couple of glaze pops, notably, one on the side of a petal on the flower, another one by the handle at the back, and one on the inside. Mentioned for accuracy, y'all know how picky I am! It is marked Weller Pottery since 1872, and the artist's initial L. This marking indicates it was made during the late period, 1936-1948. The dry ring foot print shows some wear from shelf sitting.
