Exquisite Art Deco Sterling and Marcasite Necklace, Blue Turquoise Glass

This is a fabulous and early necklace which dates to the Art Deco Era. The necklace is made of sterling silver and is elaborate in design, yet classic. The necklace begins with three oval shaped cabs of glass or stone which all are slightly different from the last. The stones have a turquoise look to them, but we have not taken the necklace to our jeweler. The metal work surrounding the stones as well as the links that connect each stone are fabulous! Genuine marcasites dot each piece. Each of the stones are polished smooth and are lovely. One stone appears to have a crack in it, but is is safe and secure in the setting with no chance of falling out. It could have been a manufacturing flaw when originally made.

The early clasp works perfectly. The necklace measures 17" long. Each stone and setting measures 1 1/4" long by 3/4" tall.
