This is an absolutely spectacular Victorian pin made of genuine ivory and hand carved throughout. The pin is in the shape of a cuffed hand extending a large and ornately carved flower. The pin is so well carved it is extraordinary. Green tint is used on the leaves of the flower. The fingers are so well defined as is the ruffled cuff at the wrist. Both the flower and leaves both show exquisite detailing. The fingers appear so delicate, but actually must be quite sturdy to stand up after all of these years. The pin measures 1 3/4" by 1 1/8" wide. The condition is VERY GOOD lest for the pin back being replaced by a more contemporary version. The screws are still present for the pin back but the stem, hinge, and catch should be replaced.
