This is a fabulous and early piece that dates to the Victorian Era. The pin is made of genuine ivory which has been hand carved into a beautiful rose or flower design. The pin is thick and chunky and just heavenly! It measures 1 3/8" by 1 1/8". It is 1/2" thick. Green tint was used on the bottom to reflect the leaves. Original early clasp is present and in perfect working order. The pin is in VERY GOOD condition, especially for being over 100 years old. A bit of the green tint is chipped on one leaf and I cannot tell if one of the petals have a teeny chip in the flower or if that was how it was carved. This piece is just a fantastic antique pin that I had trouble deciding if it should stay with me or not!
