This is a wonderful early compact that dates to the Art Deco era and is made by Foster. The make up compact is made of a carnelian colored enameled exterior on the front as well as the back. The front of the compact is made of a silver toned openwork metal design that is filled with genuine marcasites. The initials S F N are engraved on the front.

When opening the compact, inside you find a powder section and two lip stick/gloss pots. One is filled with a bright shade and the other is empty, not even having a pot. The mirror is in EXCELLENT condition as well. Foster is engraved on the inside as the makers name. Measures 2 1/4" by 2 1/8" by 1/4" thick. Condition is VERY GOOD!
