SOLD Art Deco Carnelian And Filigree Necklace

This is a fabulous early necklace. It features genuine carnelian stones that have been cut to a half oval shape. The stones line the front half of each side of the necklace and lead to a drop at the dead center. The necklace chain is silvertone in color. The four half oval carnelian stones on each side are uniquely cut and prong set. The backs are open. The center drop is made of a filigree metal diamond shape. The carnelian stone in this one is bezel set, but still with the open backs. There are no markings or hallmarks on this chain but it looks to be sterling silver or silver plated. The drop pendant looks to be silver plated also, a bit of wear is showing through to the brass colored metal on the reverse only. The necklace measures 15 1/2" long ant the drop measures an additional 1 1/2" long. condition is EXCELLENT minus the wear to the reverse of the drop pendant only.
