Stunning Lilac Purple Early Glass Cameo Pin Brooch, Large Size

This is a phenomenal early cameo! You will be amazed at the details of this fine vintage piece. The cameo is rather large measuring in at a hair over 2" by 1 3/4". This is such an interesting piece, I am sure you will not find another like it!

The cameo starts with a pale lilac purple glass that is just heavenly in color. The white high relief carved cameo sits high above. That is made of glass or porcelain. Very sharply detailed. Four prongs hold the cameo into place in the ornate antiqued gold tone frame. The outer edge is large wires linked and weaved through one another to create a dramatic look. The inside of the ring is filled with small goldtone linked chain that sits perfectly in the groove between the purple glass and the metal outer edge. When you flip the cameo over, you see a coral colored glass backdrop, that the lilac glass sits atop. The pin stem just barely comes past the edge of the pin, so be careful when handling.

This is a great early piece that would be a joy to own. Condition is VERY GOOD! Unsigned.
