We want you to feel the same warmth and caring as if you were in our home enjoying coffee and talking antiques!
This book comes from a local estate of a well known retired librarian. This book, along with many other rare and impossible to find volumes, were found stored lovingly in her library of her own home. We were enthralled to have been so fortunate as to be able to present her wonderful collection which spans many of years. Please look for many more desirable books to be added online in the near future.
This particular book entitled "Water Colour Rendering Suggestions" which is by Jules Guerin (1866-1946) and Maxfield Parrish (1870-1966), both of which are famed artists whose works have been highly influential. This is a compilation of their work. This is dated to the early 1900's. It is a loose bound (as issued) hardcover folder with 23 tipped in prints. There actually should be 45 according to our research. There are 5 by Parrish and the remainder are Guerins. The covers are sturdy, but edgeworn. The original twill ribbon is partial, but does remain. The plates are in EXCELLENT condition and were lovingly stored in her personal library along with many other rare tomes. The plates are vivid and the color is extraordinary. The front folder cover does have the name Jennie F Burgo written in pencil by the owner. The book was published by J H Jansen of Cleveland.
This is a wonderful addition to any enthusiastic collector!
