This delicate necklace is made for the hot days of summer. The textured white horizontal cultured pearls are alternated with neon bright blue faceted rondelles of enchanting Apatite. The necklace is closed with a teardrop shaped toggle made of Hill Tribe Silver. Refreshing and airy! Great for both daytime and nighttime wear. A pair of matching earrings completes the set.

Apatite is a natural gemstone, ranging in color from light purple to green to neon blue to almost colorless. The name comes from the Greek word 'apate' meaning to deceive, as the gemstone is often mistaken for Tourmaline, Peridot or Beryl. It is found in Burma (Myanmar), India, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Brazil and Mexico, and in the USA. It is a soft gemstone and Apatite jewelry should be treated with care. Natural healers believe that Apatite enhances the wearer's concentration and brings clarity of thought to improve communication skills.

Hill Tribe silver beads are distinctive and hand-made by artisans of the mountain regions Northern Thailand using methods passed down through the centuries. They are made from almost pure silver (0.999) and contain more silver than sterling silver, which contains 0.925 silver.

Length: 17.5 inches.

Beading Wire: 0.14"/49 strand clear-coated stainless steel professional quality beading wire with sterling silver crimps, crimp covers and silver tone wire guards.

Bead size: about 6 x 20 mm pearls; 2 to 3 x 4 mm rondelles.

Earrings: 1 and 5/8th inches long, on lever backs. All metal components are of sterling silver.

Care: Clean with soft fabric, or non-abrasive polishing cloth. Avoid direct contact with perfumes, hairspray, and deodorants. Jewelry should be worn after application of cosmetics. Store wrapped in soft fabric or sealed in plastic bag.
