Here's to your good health and long life! These barrel shaped Carnelian beads have the chinese characters for 'longevity' etched all around them. A great gift for special friends!

Carnelian is associated with the heart and emotional warmth, considered by some to promote courage, confidence and self-motivation. It is the alternate birthstone for July. In Arabic and Oriental cultures it was thought to protect the wearer from the 'evil eye' of envious persons.

Length: 1 and 5/8th inches from your piercing.

Bead size: 12 x 14 mm barrels; 3 mm rounds.

Earrings: lever backs and other metal components are all of sterling silver.

Care: Clean with soft fabric, or non-abrasive polishing cloth. Avoid direct contact with perfumes, hairspray, and deodorants. Jewelry should be worn after application of cosmetics. Store wrapped in soft fabric or sealed in plastic bag.
