Lapis Lazuli and Sterling Silver Bracelet

This I call my 'Midsummer Night's Dream'. This bracelet is made of AA grade smooth beads of Lapis Lazuli in dark ultramarine blue with the characteristic specks of pyrite gold that flicker in the light. The rectangular and round flat beads are alternated with shiny bright sterling silver beads that all point to the toggle clasp in the shape of a half 'man in the' moon and star. Beautiful!

Lapis lazuli gets its name from the Latin and Persian (Iranian) words for ‘blue stone’. The color of this gemstone ranges from light blue to deep royal blue. The darker the blue the more valuable the gemstone. It is characterized by glittering specks of golden pyrite and imitation Lapis lazuli lacks the pyrite specks. This stone was associated by ancient Egyptians with deity and royalty, and also motherhood. It is thought to bring peace and cure depression. The best quality Lapis lazuli comes from Afghanistan, where it has been mined for centuries. It is also found in Russia and Colorado, USA.

Length: 7 to 7.25 inches. Guide to sizing Bracelets: Using a measuring tape, measure snugly (not too tight) around the wrist just below the wrist bone. For adults add 3/4th to 1 inch to above measurement to determine the bracelet length (size given above).

Beading Wire: 0.19"/49 strand clear-coated stainless steel professional quality beading wire with sterling silver crimps, crimp covers and silver tone wire guards.

Bead size: 13 x 18 mm rectangles; 14 mm rounds.

Earrings: Please inquire, can be made to order.

Care: Clean with soft fabric, or non-abrasive polishing cloth. Avoid direct contact with perfumes, hairspray, and deodorants. Jewelry should be worn after application of cosmetics. Store wrapped in soft fabric or sealed in plastic bag.
