It's spring time and time to join the Irish in celebrating St. Patrick's Day. This is my tribute to spring time and the smiling Irish. Cultured white freshwater coin pearls and champagne colored potato-shaped pearls, Swarovski crystal in their new Graphic design, handmade Chinese Cloisonne beads are all combined to create this spring garland. The greens, gold and brown of the Cloisonne beads are complemented by the olivine, peridot, golden silk colors of the rectangular Graphic crystals with their sharp geometric facets. All the beads are separated and highlighted with 14K GF round beads and Vermeil daisy spacers. A pair of matching earring with peridot colored crystals completes the set.

14K Gold-Filled (14K GF) beads are made by bonding a layer of 14K gold with high pressure and heat to base metal and then shaped as desired. Industry standard requires that the quantity of gold be at least 1/20th of the total weight and the Karat measurement must be marked.

Vermeil is sterling silver heavily electroplated with 22K gold.

Pearls are thought to represent innocence and integrity. A favorite with brides. It is the birthstone for June.

Enameled Cloisonné beads are handcrafted in China, where artisans begin with a copper base, create patterns by soldering brass wire in cells. Enamel paint is filled in the patterns and fired to permanently fix the colors. The painting and firing process can be repeated as many as four times. The bead is then smoothed and polished, and the exposed brass wire edges are gold or silver plated.

Length: 16 inches with additional 3 inch extension chain.

Beading Wire: 0.14"/49 strand clear-coated stainless steel professional quality beading wire with 14K gold-filled crimps, crimp covers and gold tone wire guards.

Bead size: 12 mm coin pearl; 10x12 mm crystals; 7x10 mm Cloisonne beads; 3 mm 14K GF round beads, 6 mm helix and 4 mm round crystals.

Clasp: 14K GF trigger clasp and extension chain.

Earrings: 2 inches long, on 14k GF ear hooks.

Care: Clean with soft fabric, or non-abrasive polishing cloth. Avoid direct contact with perfumes, hairspray, and deodorants. Jewelry should be worn after application of cosmetics. Store wrapped in soft fabric or sealed in plastic bag.
