A hearty necklace...peanut shaped beads of Poppy Jasper, also known as Brecciated Jasper beads form the backdrop for a red and metallic gray-black Tiger Iron heart. The Tiger Iron heart has only red from Red Jasper and metallic gray from Hematite, yellow bands from Tiger Eye that are part of Tiger Iron are missing from this piece of gemstone. A pair of matching earrings made from the same peanut shaped Poppy Jasper beads complete the set.

Jaspers have been used as ornamental and gemstones from ancient times. They are micro-crystalline Quartz in association with a variety of other minerals which give the Jaspers colorful patterns and bands. Jaspers are often named according to its color or patterns. Brecciated Jasper, also known as Poppy Jasper, is a warm blend of brick red, earthy deep brown, white, cream and black swirls.
