June is the month for Pearls...Here's a special necklace made of naturally colored cultured freshwater stick Pearls in shades of lustrous white, pink, mauve and peach. The pearls are graduated in size and completed with some similar colored pearl rondelles and a heart shaped toggle made from Hill Tribe Silver. Includes a pair of matching earrings. A perfect gift for a June birthday.

Cleopatra was known to grind pearls and drink the powder to cure stomach disorders. Freshwater pearl culture has been known in China from 1000 years BC.

Hill Tribe silver beads are distinctive and hand-made by artisans of the mountain regions Northern Thailand using methods passed down through the centuries. They are made from almost pure silver (0.999) and contain more silver than sterling silver, which contains 0.925 silver.

Beading Wire: 0.14"/49 strand clear-coated stainless steel professional quality beading wire with sterling silver crimps and crimp covers.

Bead size: stick pearls vary from 14 to 22 mm in length and 4 to 6 mm wide.

Clasp: Hill tribe heart toggle.

Earrings: 1.25 inches long, on sterling silver ear hooks.

Care: Clean with soft fabric, or non-abrasive polishing cloth. Avoid direct contact with perfumes, hairspray, and deodorants. Jewelry should be worn after application of cosmetics. Store wrapped in soft fabric or sealed in plastic bag.
