Beautiful Porcelain ~ Flexible Layaways!
This gorgeous 7-piece set is marked “EGW&S” for retailer E. G. Webster & Son of Brooklyn NY (circa 1886-1928). The firm, which was known primarily for silver plate hollow-ware with exuberant chasing and repoussé work, was eventually purchased by International Silver Company (circa 1928).
The set includes: a tea pot which measures 11 ¾ inches from spout to handle and 6 ½ inches tall; a coffee pot that is 10 ½ inches from spout to handle and 9 ½ inches tall; a creamer that is 6 inches across and 4 ½ inches tall; a sugar bowl that is 7 7/8 across and 5 ¼ inches tall; a waste bowl that is 5 ¼ inches across and 3 ¾ inches in height inches; and a tray that measures 30 inches across and 18 ¾ inches in width.
Condition is very good, with one finial that needs tightening.
