Beautiful Nippon Cream & Sugar Set

Just look at this gorgeous cream and sugar set by Nippon, featuring heavy gold overlay work on a white and pink background, with gold beading and gilded handles and finials!

The set is back stamped with the highly sought after Nippon Maple Leaf Mark, #52, which according to Van Patten’s book ABC’s of Collecting Nippon Porcelain dates back to 1891.

The sugar bowl is about 4 3/4 inches tall, and 6 1/2 inches across from handle to handle; the creamer is 3 1/2 inches tall, and 5 1/2 inches from spout to handle.

Condition is very good to excellent. There is no damage. Minimal wear to the gold.
