Beautiful Porcelain ~ Flexible Layaways!
The plates are wonderfully decorated in the French Rococo style with a lovely gold center medallion/snowflake, surrounded by a gold flowering vine. The borders feature lots of gold scrolls and leaves, with a cobalt blue scalloped shell edge, lavishly decorated with brushed gold.
Only the most affluent families owned entire sets of Bleu de Four, as even today these are among the rarest porcelains. Don’t miss the opportunity to acquire this magnificent set!
The dinner plates are 9 7/8 inches in diameter and they bear Theodore Haviland Limoges Mark 33 (circa 1903-1925). The bowls are 8 inches across and 1 3/8 inches high, and they bear Porcelaine Mousseline Limoges Mark K (circa 1894).
Condition is very good to excellent, slight wear to the gold.
