Special Collection of 12 Antique Royal Worcester Botanical Plates in Pastel Colors

What a singular find! This gorgeous set of twelve Victorian Aesthetic Period Royal Worcester plates is decorated with hand painted flowers and shimmering gold outline, against a pastel background, each one in a different shade and depicting different flowers.

These superb 9 ¼-inch plates were made for Bailey, Banks & Biddle, a Philadelphia retailer that has been in business since 1832, with a reputation for offering only the finest quality merchandise.

Eleven plates bear the Royal Worcester standard printed factory mark (circa 1870's-80's), and are marked “Bailey, Banks & Biddle.” One plate has an “X” below the standard mark, indicating it dates to 1886, and is marked “Theodore B. Starr, New York.”

Condition is very good to excellent, light crazing.
