T&V Limoges Charger with Carnations in the Art Nouveau Style Artist Signed “Magne”

Just look at this incredible factory decorated and artist signed T&V Limoges, France Carnations charger/plaque in the Art Nouveau style! Limoges artist “Magne”, a renown painted flowers specialist, has executed this carnations platter in soft shades of pink and burgundy. Accented with raised enamel highlights, these flowers are set amidst greenery and are surrounded by swirling gold ribbons interlaced with small pink Briar rose blossoms, all on a creamy white background. To complete this masterpiece, a gold border encircles the scene.

Charger bears the following marks: Mark 7 underglaze white ware mark in green, initials with “LIMOGES FRANCE,” ca. 1892-1907; and Mark 16b overglaze decorating mark in purple, accompanied with a banner printed with “Hand Painted,” ca. 1907-1919. Diameter is 12 3/8-inches. Condition is excellent.
