This lovely Victorian 10-inch dinner plate made by W.T. Copeland Potteries (circa 1881), England, features a geometric transfer design with pretty flowers hand colored in shades of red, blue, and gold. Condition is excellent, colors are vibrant and there are no chips, cracks or hairlines.

Fabulous large ivory coloured polychrome transfer ware fish platter with original drainer insert by Powell, Bishop & Stonier, decorated in the Aesthetic style with lovely songbirds perched on flowering tree branches, and dragonflies buzzing about. From the early 19th century, most dinner sets included a drainer, which was flat and had a hole in the center, with smaller holes all around it. This drainer would fit inside a large serving dish and would have been used when serving fish, to drain the ...
