Here is a Turn-of-the-Century Meissen drainer by Ernst Teichert (in operation circa 1868 - 1945), in the “Blue Onion” pattern, featuring a band of blue flowers and leaves along the edge. Beginning in the early 19th century most dinner sets included a drainer, which was flat and had a hole in the center, with smaller holes all around it.
