(3) Wildlife Landscape Prints Signed by Dennis Schmidt-Texas Artist

Three small, high quality prints that came from the estate sale of a local artist, and hand signed by Texas artist Dennis Schmidt. These beautiful prints, two of deer and one of quail and a farmhouse, all in a lush Texas landscape, are all smaller versions of prints of original size 12" X 16". Each is titled, being "Autumn Haze", "Watchful Gazes", and "A Time to Remember". Each is signed in pen, in the lower left corner, by artist Dennis Schmidt. All measure about 7-1/4" X 5-1/2". Copyrights 1981 & 1982. Painting since 1972, Schmidt worked as a welder and machinist from 1966 until 1976 when he left to embark on his full-time career as an artist. By 1979, the demand for his originals greatly exceeded supply that producing limited edition reproductions was the next logical step. From 1979 to 1990, 31 Limited Editions of his work were sold out. In 1980, Victoria Bank & Trust Co. commissioned Schmidt to produce two originals for their private collection and two complete print editions of 1,000 signed only as gifts to their employees and preferred customers. He is the recipient of over 30 such honors from his 24 year as a professional artist. Among these are numerous Best of Show, Gold Medals, 8 consecutive popular choice awards at the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and several Artist awards from his peers. Born in 1950, Dennis is a native of Texas living in Austin since 1988. Schmidt no longer does prints, and his wonderful paintings are not often for sale. All are in fine condition, and will be mailed boxed in order to avoid bending or creasing. Keep them all, or frame and give as gifts.
