Rebekah Lodge Fine Bone China Teacup and Saucer

The "Rebekahs" (or the Rebekah Lodges) are the female auxiliary of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows.

This lovely cup and saucer feature the Rebekahs insignia, which is the letter "R" with a three-link chain through it next to a dove bordered by a crescent moon filled with stars. The "R" is painted by hand in a plum color, dove's twig in green. The rest of the insignia, as well as the rims and handle are gilded gold. Scattered on both are more "triple-links", also done in gold.

The only mark on the bottom of each is "C-30". Age unknown, but has been passed through at least three generations. Maker unknown.

Very good condition. No chips or cracks and very little wear is evident. A little dirty, as I have not cleaned it (lessens the glare for pictures)

No need to be a "Rebekah", a lovely set for anyone looking for "R" monogram.
