Unique State of Texas Pin Cushion-Cross Stitch Floral

Wonderfully unusual pin cushion celebrating the great state of Texas. The base is Texas-shaped, cut from 1" thick wood. A circle has been cut out of the center for the "cushion" which has a beautifully stitched bluebonnet and "Texas" below. The cushion is stuffed with batting, and the wood circle was taped on to the back, but coming loose, so I removed it. On the back is hand-written "Christmas 1982" as well as the makers name. A fabulous gift for someone then, and a unique Texas collectible now. It is in very good condition, just a little dirty; and the fine material does not look to have held any needles or pins. Measures 6-1/4" X 6", lightweight.
