Charming Wooden Box Purse with Decoupage Animal Characters

This adorable old purse has been uniquely decorated and signed by "JM". The outside of the textured box is colored black, or chocolate brown, colorful animal characters applied on five sides, including a lion on the top, a song bird, a turtle, a bunny carrying flowers, and a long-legged bird. The decoupage animals are done to resemble petit point stitching and all but the birds are outlined with thin colored cord. Original heavy metal goldtone hardware including a chain handle and four ball feet are all in good condition. The inside is red felt with green trim, also in good condition. Signed in paint "JM' script on the bottom. Good used condition with some edge wear and minor paint issues, all pictured. Only when you look closely can you see the fabulous geometric texture of the top and bottom and the fine crackle of the paint proving how well this accessory has fared over many years. Measures 9" X 6" X 5-3/4". A unique accessory you will not see on anyone else's arm!
