Beautiful c.1930 pastel drawing by American artist, Martha Sawyers (1902-1988). Pastel pigments on brown paper measures 12.5 x 19 inches; 15.5 x 22 inches in original frame. Depicted here is a perfectly gorgeous young lady waring a yellow silk dress. The expression on her face is radiant, and her hand posture is so elegant! Excellent condition with barely noticed, minor discloration of paper at corners due to original glue. At present, sheet is loose, merely resting against backing board, and is unglued if remounting is desired. Absolutely no damage or restoration. Signed lower right. Artist bio:
