Like many of my customers, I love to look deliciously feminine when I dress up to go out for the evening. One of my favorite stones for evening wear is cubic zirconia, a lab-created crystal that has a glitter and hardness comparable to diamond. There is nothing quite like it for extraordinary sparkle in dim lighting or candlelight.

These violet cubic zirconia briolettes are far more glittering than any scan can show, since the metallic zirconium oxide that is the key element in the stones give it a splendid and ever-changing play of light. The focal briolettes measure 18mm. (3/4") long and really do look as though they are lit from within. They are accented with a cascade of 7mm faceted amethyst briolettes and 4mm. faceted amethyst rounds, a perfect complement to the violet zirconias. Lots of glitter is added from the 7mm. faceted violet cubic zirconia briolettes and double drops of sparkling violet Austrian crystals. The top of the earrings features 5mm. faceted pink amethyst rondelles and 6mm. full-round faceted pink amethyst briolettes, accented with 4mm. round Austrian pink crystals. The effect is absolutely stunning in person: you can see the play of subtle sparkling lights in these earrings from across the room. The scan does not begin to capture the sparkle!

They are all worked in 14kt. gold-fill wire to 14kt. gold-fill rolo chain, and hang from 14kt. gold-fill earwires. They include rubber stoppers for security. They measure 2 & 1/8" not including the earwires.
