SUGILITE Amethyst Raspberry Chalcedony Silver Cascade Earrings

Sugilite is a hugely popular gemstone right now, and its rich blend of colors makes it easy to see why. It was named after the Japanese scientist Ken-ichi Sugi in the mid-20th century and is found in only a few places in the world. It is a luscious blend of deep purples, magentas and raspberry shades.

These 12mm. smooth sugilite briolettes work perfectly with the shades of gems I've paired them with. All are hand-wired on sterling wire to sterling rolo chain: 4mm. rounds of pink jade and lavender jade, 4mm. faceted rondelles and smooth rounds of amethyst, 4mm. round sugilites, 9mm. briolettes of smooth sugilite, and 7mm. faceted briolettes of luscious raspberry and purple chalcedony. (The jades and chalcedony are color-enhanced.) They are accented with 4mm. Austrian violet and rose crystals to blend all the colors together and give a bit of sparkle.

The earrings hang from extra-long sterling French wires with a cabbage-rose pattern on the front, and include rubber stoppers for security. They measure 2.75" total, 2" not including the wires, and are very lightweight on the ear.

The style is deliciously feminine, swinging seductively as your head moves and giving a flattering slimming appearance to your face. The colors work with a wide range of fashions: burgundy, magenta, hot-pink, purple, violet, garnet, cranberry, and (of course) black.

All metals used are sterling silver and all gems are genuine.
