I've crafted these earrings to remember the ancient legend of lost Atlantis, in the colors of the Caribbean seas. My Atlantis line of jewelry has inspired many a designer!

Beads of pure and precious Dominican larimar are the focal points - larimar is also known as the 'dolphin' or 'Atlantis' gem. This stone is found only in one place in the world, one mountain in the Dominican Republic. It is the result of ancient volcanic explosions, an incomparable lustrous tropical aquamarine color. Dominican artisans call it the gemstone of Atlantis, because in Dominican island legend it was once part of that fabled lost sea empire.

The top beads are smooth barrel shaped larimar, irregularly cut, set in vermeil filigree beadcaps. These are Grade A larimar, meaning that they are all blue and cream, with no gray or black inclusions. They are followed by 6mm. rondelles of smooth gem aquamarine. The bottom gems are good quality 7mm. cultured freshwater pearls, accented with 4mm. faceted turquoise rounds. All these gemstones are said in folklore to produce a soothing sense of tranquility and higher spiritual awareness.

They hang from 22kt. sterling vermeil French wires and measure a fraction under 1.75" without the wires. They give a single flattering line of pure shimmery tropical colors in your ears, and feel truly magical to wear.

All metals used are 14kt. gold-fill or 22kt. sterling vermeil. All gems used are genuine.
