When Medieval knights returned from the Crusades in the 12th century, they brought back all manner of luxuries from the East, including filigree jewelry for their ladies. These finely detailed silver filigree and garnet earrings might have been purchased in some Eastern bazaar for a European knight's lady. The Medievals believed that garnets ruled the heart, love and passion.

I've crafted these to celebrate my lifelong love and passion for all things Medieval. Perhaps you also have a Medieval heart, my Lady................

These are a triple layer of silver filigree hearts, set with 4mm. faceted rounds and 8mm. faceted kite-shaped briolettes of deep burgundy-red garnets. They hang from secure sterling post wires. They measure 2.5" total.

These are very lightweight earrings. They look absolutely delightful - and very feminine indeed. All metals are sterling silver and all garnets are genuine.
