This curved chandelier style of earring was worn by women since ancient times, and was especially popular during the Medieval period. I've crafted these modern reproductions in amethyst, a beloved gem of the Middle Ages: it was associated with love, truth and clear vision.

The curved chandeliers are 24kt. sterling vermeil, with a total of 16 faceted 4mm. amethyst rondelles. These are fine quality amethysts in the classic deep violet color. The center amethysts are high-quality 9mm. faceted briolettes, with excellent clarity, translucence and sparkle.

They hang from 24kt. sterling vermeil beaded French wires, and include rubber stoppers for security. They measure 1 & 5/8" without the wires, for women who love this look but prefer their earrings a bit shorter.

These are lightweight earrings, despite their impressive appearance. They look look absolutely spectacular with any outfit. Feel like a heroine out of Medieval legend in them, my Lady.

During the Middle Ages, gold was so expensive that it was reserved for royalty and the Church, and most Medieval noblewomen and wealthy ladies wore sterling vermeil. Vermeil was known as 'silver-gilt' to Medieval jewelers. Using it in my Medieval reproductions makes them even more authentic.

The curved connectors and French wires are sterling vermeil; all other metals (jewelry wires) are 14kt. gold-filled. All amethysts are genuine.
