Those who have read Dion Fortune's "The Sea Priestess" will remember her vivid characterization of the reincarnated Atlantean priestess of the sea. This very special one-of-a-kind necklace is the latest in my Sea Goddess series. The title and style has been widely copied. These are the originals.

The centerpiece is a marvelous sterling pendant of a Sea Goddess, cast in the incomparably graceful and sinuous Art Nouveau style of the Edwardian period. Surrounded by swirls of water, her long hair flowing like seaweed, she holds a sea-lily in her hand.

I've accented the necklace with a series of gems long associated in folklore with the Sea. Outward from the central pendant, they are all hand-wrapped on sterling silver wire: 9mm. Peruvian blue chalcedony, an indescribably shimmering and otherworldly color, accented with engraved sterling beadcaps; barrel-shaped beads of very rare green kyanite, that derives its silvery flash from its high aluminum silicate content; blue chalcedony; triple 6mm. smooth rondelles of cobalt-blue kyanite; blue chalcedony; green kyanite; blue chalcedony; blue kyanite rondelles; blue chalcedony; teal-blue kyanite 6mm. rounds.

The necklace measures 21" and closes with a sterling "S" hook (I can substitute a lobster clasp if you prefer). I can add an extender at no charge if you wish.

All of these gems are associated with the Sea and the element of Water in gemstone mythology. They are chosen to reflect the gorgeous blend of sea colors of the Mediterranean and Caribbean seas.

Truly a magical necklace for the modern Sea Goddess! You and only you, my Lady, will wear it. A priestess of ancient Atlantis might have worn something much like this, as she gazed on the sea from her marble balcony.......
