Roses have always been associated in folklore with the ancient Greek Goddess Aphrodite. She is the Goddess of Love, Beauty and the arts. When she is pleased, her gifts are said to be love, joy and all things beautiful.

This is the newest version of my Aphrodite's Roses line. This one features a beautifully detailed old-fashioned 5-petalled rose connector. The Goddess pendant is cast in the lushly romantic swirling Art Nouveau pattern of the Edwardian period, with 5-petalled roses in her hair. To complement the Art Nouveau pattern, I've used pendants of bevelled garnet in the Edwardian style, set with tiny silver nuggets that look much like marcasite (they are not). The necklace pendant measures 2.75" long. It is flanked by faceted 4mm. garnet beads worked on sterling wire to sterling chain. It measures 19.25" around the neck and closes with a lobster clasp.

The matching earrings hang from my handmade French wires beaded with faceted r4mm. garnets. They measure 2" with the jewelled wires, 1 & 3/8" without, and include rubber stoppers for security.
