The necklace's gorgeous centerpiece features 6mm. high quality creamy cultured freshwater oval pearls, all hand wrapped on granulated 24kt. sterling vermeil jewelry pins. The Medieval Knight's shield center connector is also 24kt. sterling vermeil, as are the intricate beaded granulated rondelle beads. The necklace hangs from a pearls and vermeil equal-armed crosses, on vermeil chain, and closes with a 24kt. sterling vermeil toggle clasp. It measures 18.75", and I can shorten this to your preference at no charge if you wish. The pendant part measures 2.5" long.
The matching earrings feature 6mm. cultured freshwater pearls wrapped on the same vermeil crosses, and hanging from sterling vermeil French wires. They measure 1 & 1/8" without the wires.
I will not be repeating this gorgeous wedding set. Medieval knights often wore this motto for their chosen ladies: "Vous et neul autre" (you and no other). Only you will wear this, my Lady--you and no other.
Pearls were a symbol of great prize during the Medieval times. I first read the famed 14th century English Arthurian poem "The Pearl" as a student of Medieval history, and still remember the shimmering beauty of the images. The Pearl - like the Bride and the Unicorn - was the prize sought by every chivalric knight.
All metals are 14kt. gold-fill (jewelry wires) and 24kt. sterling vermeil (filigree pendants, chain, accents and French wires) and all cultured freshwater pearls are genuine.
