This fabulous large Arts and Crafts repousse hammered copper kettle pictures a peasant woman pouring a tankard. Medieval in character and of very high quality. This piece is from the Jungenstil Period dating between 1890 to 1910. The kettle is beautifully hand hammered and sweat welded (not soldered) as seen in pictures 4 and 5 and has a hinged spout flap. A remarkable example of Arts and Crafts copper smithery. Hard to find an example like this in today`s market. Condition: Overall excellent with a few dent`s and what I think might be an old repair on the spout (see picture 5). Unsigned. Size: Body 10"wide, overall width 16", overall height (with handle) 15".
