About Us
Staliza is pronounced Stah-lye-zah and is a combination of my first and middle names. Hello! Welcome to my online handcrafted jewelry shop. I'm Stacy Elizabeth Jacob and I create all of the jewelry you see here in my jewelry studio in the greater New Orleans area in Louisiana.

Before moving "down on the bayou", I lived near Ann Arbor, Michigan where I taught jewelry-making classes through Ann Arbor Community Education as well as in-home classes, fund-raising parties, and home jewelry shows. My jewelry was also available at a local gallery there.

Currently, Staliza Jewelry is available exclusively right here through my shop on Ruby Lane. I enjoy taking my time and putting creative thought into each and every piece of jewelry I make. No mass-produced pieces here! Everything takes time but I guess that's the way I like it best. It's good for my soul when I can get lost in the process of creating. :-)

Here's a little about my background: I have an art background at Eastern Michigan University, a Graphic Design background at Washtenaw Community College, and a decade of experience managing a custom frame shop where creative expression was a part of everyday work. Channeling the creative skills I've learned over the years, I enjoy creating wearable art jewelry where each piece is as unique as the woman that owns it.

Despite the rising costs of metals, I'm still determined to use precious metals in my jewelry. The way I look at it is I put into my jewelry what I would buy for myself. My jewelry "ingredients" are: sterling silver, 14K gold-filled, 22K gold vermeil, hand-picked gemstone beads, artisan glass, Swarovski crystals, pretty glass, and other beads and components that catch my interest along the way. Occasionally I'll find vintage components, for example. I avoid using nickel, which causes skin sensitivities for so many, myself included.
