This handsome Kley & Hahn boy doll measures 18" in height. He has a solid domed bisque socket head, light brown painted hair, blue intaglio painted eyes in deeply set sockets, black upper eyeliner, lightly feathered brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the accented lips. He has a composition and wooden ball-jointed body. He is incised on the back of his head with the Kley & Hahn banner with "K & H" inside the banner. "525" is below the banner. Kley & Hahn was a doll factory in the Thuringia region of Germany. They assembled dolls but had the heads made for them. The "525" head was actually made by Bahr & Proschild. Kley & Hahn dolls are of high quality. He is nicely dressed in a vintage boy's mariner style suit and cap, leather shoes stamped with a shamrock on the bottom and an antique onesie for underwear. The bald heads are usually found on baby bodies, but occasionally one like this is found on a jointed body. They make up into a marvelous little boy doll! He has an excellent quality of bisque and fine sculpting of his features.
