This fantastic Simon & Halbig model 950 bisque shoulder head doll measures 11" in height. Her bisque shoulder head is perfect with blue glass inset eyes, painted lashes, brush stroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, pierced ears, and a blonde mohair wig on her original cloth muslin body with bisque forearms. This rare closed mouth child doll is all original including her costume with an elaborately beaded black velvet vest, apron and lace and black velvet coiffe. Her costume has some soiling and shows signs of melting and fraying but is still beautifully preserved. She is marked on the back of her head "S H 1 // 950. These very early dolls had no ampersand between the S and the H.
