This container has some red colored sugar crystals inside for the candy. This container appears in the 1930 Montgomery Ward & Co.-Fall-Winter issue catalog. The container is made of clear pressed glass, at one time this should have been painted, but there is no paint remaining. The container is approx. 5 1/2" tall with a diameter of about 2 1/2". There are no chips or cracks but the glass does have a few manufacturing bubbles. The base screw-on cap is a bit rusty but otherwise in very good condition. Santa is without his pack of gifts, right foot & leg are inside the square brick chimney, and his left foot is on the platform beside the chimney base. His suit and cap are stippled. The left side of the chimney is marked with "USA". On the right side of the chimney is a monogram of a "V" over "G", indicating it was manufactured by Victory Glass Co., of Jeannette, PA. This item also appeared in the Butler Bros. Catalogs, Dec. 1925-1927-1929.
